PUPPY HEALTH
PARENT HEALTH
First and foremost to your puppies health, is the health of the parents. Here at Muddy Creek Labradors, we strive to select only the healthiest of breeding stock, from very reputable breeders. We also have all of the recommended testing done (DNA and OFA) to ensure that our breeding stock are not passing on any, would be, health concerns to your new puppy.
DE-WORMING
All puppies will be de-wormed every two weeks, and should continue with you for another 8 weeks after going home. This information will be included in a packet with a schedule to keep you up to date.
VACCINATION
Before going to their new forever homes, all puppies will receive a series of vaccinations that cover canine distemper, canine hepatitis, adenovirus cough (kennel cough), parainfluenza, and parvovirus. You will also receive an informational guide or shot schedule to help you stay on top of the shots required in the next few months.
VET CHECK
Before going to their new forever homes, all puppies will be scheduled a vet visit with a local licensed vet to give the puppies a complete check up and clean bill of health, checking the puppy's weight, temperature, heart, lungs, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, paws, skin, coat and genitalia.
PUPPY HEALTH GUARANTEE
All puppies will come with a one year health guarantee, from date of birth, against any life threatening genetic or hereditary disease or defect. Health guarantee will be invalid if buyer fails to meet any of the terms and conditions contained in the Health Guarantee Certificate. A copy of the Puppy Health Guarantee Certificate will be provided to you at time of pick-up.
AKC PUPPY PROTECTION PACKAGE
All puppies will be enrolled in the AKC Puppy Protection Package program. This package includes:
OWNERSHIP REGISTRATION: Includes an official AKC certificate.
HEALTH PROTECTION: One month free coverage for your puppy with the AKC Pet Insurance Trial Plan. No obligation or additional cost to you.
AKC VETERINARY NETWORK: Complimentary first office visit at a veterinary practice listed with the AKC Veterinary Network.
AKC NEW PUPPY HANDBOOK: The official quick reference guide to the care and training of your new puppy.
AKC FAMILY DOG MAGAZINE: A one-year subscription.
AKC EVENTS: Eligible to have fun competing in AKC Rally®, Agility, Obedience and Coursing Ability tests.
LOST DOG RECOVERY: Lifetime enrollment in AKC Reunite Lost Pet Recovery Service (your puppy will be micro-chipped for this program prior to pick up).
PURCHASE PROCEDURES
PUPPY VISIT
So you are beginning your adventure to find your new friend. Here at Muddy Creek Labradors we want you to find the very best new friend for you, even if it is not from us, so we recommend making several visits to meet our puppies, and us. We feel it is important to know your breeder, as well as pick the right puppy, and we can help you with that. We are far more than just breeders, and our relationship with you will continue well beyond the day your puppy goes home with you. We look forward to meeting you.
PUPPY DEPOSIT
A $500 deposit is required for your prospective new friend. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will place your name on our "pick list". At the time of pick up, your deposit will be applied to the final purchase price. After puppy deposit is placed we also encourage everyone to come back to visit as much as you want and to begin bonding with puppies in their early stages (physically handling the puppies will not begin until puppies are 3 weeks of age).
If you would like to place your Puppy Deposit now, online, you may do so below. When placing your deposit online the system will ask you to set an appointment time. If you would like to come out and meet with us during that time, we can certainly do so, but if not, do not worry about the date and time you choose, as we do not need to meet with you at this time, if you place your deposit online. Soon after we receive your deposit, we will be in touch to confirm, and to get any more information that we may need, as well as answer any more questions you may have.
PUPPY PICK
It's time to make your pick. We do this when the puppies are approximately 5 or 6 weeks of age. By this time, the puppies have begun to show their personality, and are really getting around on their own and playing. Also at this point, their color is much more evident, and you can also tell more about their build. We will notify everyone in order, on the pick list and get appointments made to come by and make final picks.
PUPPY PICK-UP
We release our puppies around 8 weeks old, and we will coordinate with you to schedule the best time for you to come by to pick up and take home your new friend. At this time we will also provide you with a puppy pack that you can take home with you that will have allot of information, resources, and supplies to help get you through the initial few weeks of having your new puppy at home. As part of the purchase of your puppy from us, we will do all of the paperwork for the official registration of your new puppy with AKC.
PUPPY PRICES
Our price for a puppy is $1500-$3000 (Fox Reds are higher with extensive famous bloodlines)
We provide a full head to toe veterinarian health check, several deworming’s, a series of vaccines, microchips including a lifetime registration paid for by Muddy Creek Labradors. You will receive a copy of the pup’s full health history. All puppies come with a puppy starter pack with lots of info, resources, and supplies, and will be sold with limited registration unless otherwise arranged. As well, all puppies will come with a one year health guarantee (more information below). Please contact us for up to date pricing on our current litters.
